Why we don't use facebook at Happy Tails Pet Store

Why You Won't Find Us on Facebook

In today's digital landscape, it might seem unusual for a small e-commerce business to skip Facebook. Here's why we've made this choice:

We want to prioritise direct connections

We want to build genuine relationships with our community. Rather than competing with algorithm-driven feeds and sponsored content, we'd rather focus on direct communication through emails and our online store experiences where we can better engage with you and your furry friends.

We care about data privacy - for both you and us

Your privacy matters to us. By avoiding Facebook's excessive data collection ecosystem, we ensure that your shopping habits, pet preferences, and personal details stay between us. We don't believe in trading your data for marketing reach.

We want to support independent commerce

We'd rather invest our marketing budget in competitive pricing than paying for Facebook ads (as a small business we just can't get the wholesale prices that the big companies get). This means better deals for you and support for the businesses that we stock.

We believe that time spent with your pets and family is precious. So weโ€™re here to help you (and us) enjoy those moments, not distract you with social media noise. If you'd like to support us and stay in touch, we invite you to sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.ย
